Start with our puppy application. We’ll arrange a conversation to learn about your family, answer your questions and discuss a suitable match. Please review and sign your agreement before paying a deposit.

Absolutely! We accept applications for future litters. Tell us about your timing and the kind of companion you’re hoping for, and we can talk through the next steps. You’ll find current litters and recorded upcoming pairings on our Available Puppies page.

Once you have gone through the puppy application process, signed the agreement, and deposit has been sent, you will be added to our official waitlist. Once pregnancy has been confirmed, we will reach out and keep you updated. We do operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, however, priority is given to performance/show homes as well as families who have previously gotten puppies from us.

We understand most people have colors and markings they are drawn to. However, our focus is temperament, personality, and overall suitability for your family. We encourage all families to keep an open mind and trust the matching process rather than only choosing based on color. We know the puppies and their individual personalities and temperaments. We use this information to suggest a puppy or two when matching day comes.

They can be wonderful family companions when their needs fit your household. Poodles are intelligent, active dogs who need daily activity, training and company. We’ll discuss your routine and the temperament of individual puppies to help you find a good fit. Children and dogs should always have appropriate supervision. Most of my puppies end up going to family homes, but it is a matter of finding the right fit.

We use genetic testing and breed-recommended health screening to guide our breeding decisions. We are working toward OFA/CHIC certification for our breeding poodles. We want our puppies to have lifelong, loving homes. If circumstances ever change, we ask that your dog be brought back to Gellert Kennel before ever considering surrendering to a shelter. We also love hearing from our families! It always makes my day to see them celebrate milestones, win competitions, or simply to hear they made a new best friend!
